This was taken during my son's first haircut, last summer. We were so nervous as to what his reaction would be, but thanks to my husband's long time barber, our little man had fun!
He got to watch other men getting haircuts for a few minutes. Then out came a bowl FULL of lollipops. This was before he knew what they were, so he was just content to pick through all the colors. The barber even let him turn on the buzzer a few times! What's not love?
As soon as the weather warms up, our little shaggy headed monster needs a return trip. I can only hope it goes as smoothly as the first.
Do you have any tricks for getting little ones to sit through haircuts?

I love this! My son went through a period where he wouldn't let anyone cut his hair. Two months ago his babysitter finally did it! Thank God! HE was starting to look like a Beatle or something!

What a darling expression he has, especially considering it is his first hair cut! So handsome!

I love the difference in skin tone between your son's fair little face and the barber's tanned hands. And his smile is priceless!

Also, I've given you an award! Come get it over at http://purple-hippie.blogspot.com/2010/02/my-first-blog-awards.html.

Cute picture! What a good-lookin' guy. Haircuts are a freaking nightmare in my family. The last one ended with one twin with just a quick trim and the other with a nice, sculpted hair cut because of the endless screaming. So embarassing. I think I'll just let their hair grow like the movie star's kids. Maybe one of the iheartfaces themes will be "Hair in our Eyes" soon. :)

Thanks for stopping by. I love this picture. We always went to the places with the TVs with Nickelodeon playing. Now I cut it myself. IT is much easier! :)

Awwww . . . this is so sweet!

My little guy has been to the barber several times, but prefers daddy to buzz cut him at home with the electric trimmer. ;)

Thank you for the sweet comments! Your pic is adorable...it definitely is a challenge keeping them still for a trim!

What a cutie!! I do not have any good tips on how to get a little one to sit still through a hair cut, since my 9 and 6 year old sons STILL won't sit still. We tried the sucker thing, but hair would keep getting on them.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and leaving a comment.
